We've done it again! This time we biked from Petra in Jordan up to Nazareth in Israel, to raise money for the Nazareth Hospital CT Scanner appeal. Nazareth is the largest Arab town in Israel, but they still don't have a dedicated Stroke Unit to cope with this devastating condition and major cause of death. You can never start 'em too young

Priceless Egyptological artefact lost forever!


Alas, now that the warm weather has arrived, this fine statue of the Egyptian Pharaoh Rameses II is no more; it has been reduced to a mere puddle; in fact, even that is now gone. For a very brief few nights in December 2000 (yes, it was that long ago), this fine colossus graced my back garden.

And now all I have are memories...
